I really appreciated how you tied the idea of light and darkness not just to spiritual concepts but to everyday life. The way you described the “attention economy” and how easily we can get drawn into negativity made me pause and reflect on my own media habits. I also loved how you connected the story of the blind man with the choice each of us has to accept Christ’s light—seeing it as an active, daily decision really hit me.

Wonderful reminders! Darkness is, indeed, all around us. Love the scriptural reflections, especially the one from Paul. Blessings to you Fr. Paul!! 💜🙏💜

Fr Paul, thank you for this. You are so right that it is a conscious decision... to choose the light, to reject the darkness, to keep choosing it day after day. During this Lent I have become ever more aware of God at work in the small details of my everyday life... the ordinary moments, the quiet ones, the ones I might have looked past before. And what I am finding is that the more I see Him intimately involved in the little things... the more I trust He is active in the bigger ones too. The darkness is loud... but the light does not need to be loud. It just needs to be there... And He is! It gives me such strength and peace to keep my eyes fixed on that Light of Christ... knowing He has not left us, and never will. God bless you, Father.... Praise be to God.

Thank you for this awesome post. The darkness tried hard to stop me from restacking, sharing, or commenting which shows how powerful your words and insights are and need to be read. I'm glad I'm not easily deterred when I want to be. I pray you are feeling better and hope you have a peaceful evening. God bless 🙌 🙏 💕
